SAS ENTERPRISE GUIDE 4.1 (FUNCTIONAL TILL 2015!) Please pay attention to system requirements: http://support.sas.com/documentation/installcenter/eguide/4.1/sreq.pdf (sreq.pdf file is also enclosed in the archive) Try running the EG4.1 installer first. If you can successfully install EG4.1, then move on to Step 2. If not, proceed with Step 1. Step 1: Since there's no System Requirements Wizard I've collected all required system files in the subfolder "Required System Components" in the SloveniaX folder - assuming you're using at least WinXP, you will need .NET 1.1 (enclosed is the English version - dotnetfx.exe) and dlls (i.e. Visual C++ Redistributables Bundles) only. Install .NET Framework 1.1 (if you don't have it yet) and then copy the contents of the "copy to windows-system32 folder" to the well, windows\system32 folder (if you are prompted whether you want to overwrite the existing files, check their version numbers - I suppose the version numbers mentioned in the PDF document are the bare minimum - if you have more recent versions you'll be just fine and shouldn't overwrite the more recent versions with the ones provided here). If EG4.1 installer still doesn't want to start, this means some of the crucial dlls have never been registered - in this case, run all three Microsoft Runtime Components installers (i.e. the three setup.exe files) found in the "only if copying is not enough" folder. You should be able to install EG4.1 now... Step 2: Since EG4.1 stopped working in Dec 2010, run the appropriate hotfix (enclosed) which extends its expiration date till 2015. See: http://support.sas.com/kb/33/359.html and http://ftp.sas.com/techsup/download/hotfix/ent_guide41.html#033359 Potential Step 3: You CAN use EG4.1 with SAS 9.2. See here: http://support.sas.com/rnd/migration/planning/software/entguide.html. Notice the following: "If you install SAS 9.2 and you continue to use SAS Enterprise Guide 4.1 and Add-In for Microsoft Office 2.1, you might experience an error due to conflicting DLLs. To fix the error, you must restore the SAS 9.1.3 versions of these DLLs." Also see: http://support.sas.com/kb/33/988.html. For your convenience I have enclosed the 9.1.3 versions of the two dlls in questions in case you run in such trouble so you can restore them very easily... Warning: All this was tested on 32-bit WinXP machine that had no base SAS (neither 9.2 nor 9.1.3) installed. Please bear this in mind. Modify the instructions accordingly if you will use this with a different version of Windows or on a 64 -bit machine and please just use common sense - you got it for free, so do your homework first and don't complain if something doesn't work, OK? Instead try to contribute something to the community... I've just collected the stuff I could find on the web - I'm not the original uploader... (found EG4.1 on some Russian tracker) Have fun and seed! ___________________ SAS ENTERPRISE GUIDE 3.0 (FUNCTIONAL TILL 2014!) In case you want to use the Enterprise Guide 3.0, download the "EnterpriseGuide.iso" file from this torrent: http://www.kat.ph/sas-9-1-3-with-sp4-jmp-7-statistical-discovery-and-e-books-t2701295.html. Then mount the iso file (or extract it) and run the setup. This version comes with the System Requirements Wizard, so it will do automatically everything for you. Since EG3.0 also has an expiration date and does not work anymore, install first the "30eg03wn" hotfix and ONLY THEN the "30eg05wn" hotfix (both enclosed in the SloveniaX folder). See this: http://support.sas.com/kb/33/359.html and Also, as above: http://support.sas.com/rnd/migration/planning/software/entguide.html
Tnx bro!!! It took me three days to figure out how to make it work (I was trying to install and use it on windows 7, once I've installed virtual XP on this machine and installed sas 9.2, eg 3 and eg 4,1, finaly I could use eg).
I was looking for eg more than two months! So thank You very very much!!!!

Enterprise Guide 4.2 (not an installable version though!): http://bayfiles.com/file/2W8F/elApNf/SAS_Enterprise_Guide_4.2.rar
Unpack the EnterpriseGuide folder in your main SAS folder and run the executable inside. Hopefully it will work for you - I had to first install MS WSE 3.0 (attached), but now it works perfectly fine with SAS 9.2 from this very torrent (and without prior installation of EG 4.1 or any similar modifications).
I'm not making a torrent out of it cause it cannot be installed the usual way. If it works for you, great! If not, too bad - don't come back here whining about it and just use 4.1! :)

Could someone please help in terms of how to set up this so it works. I have to admit I am a little green in this area but I really need SAS for my personal work :-) Please help someone!

Hi Dockiss, May I know how do you get EG 4.1 to work on Win 7? I tried installing it but I have problem getting the EG to find a local repository to function. I am using Win7 Home X64 bit
Thanks
Thanks
Thanks SloX!
It didn't work until I installed SAS 9.2 (it couldn't connect to localhost - local SAS server), but now works as a charm :)

I felt compelled to leave a comment for this wonderful torrent so I could express my gratitude. SloveniaX, you are truly a blessing to mankind.
For others trying to get this to work, I'll document the process I underwent. I first tried installing SAS EG 4.1 on Win7 Pro x64. Didn't work. It would hang on the "shared components" part of the installation. Tried installing SAS EG 4.1 on Win XP Pro SP3 x86 (in virtual machine) and it wouldn't work.
Then I tried installing SAS 9.2 from this torrent (uploaded by Doubzstep):
http://thepiratebay.ee/torrent/7045274/SAS_9.2___September_2012
It went well. Installation successful (by exactly following his instruction) on both the Win7 installation and the XP VM installation. Could load and work with datasets. Afterwards, I attempted to reinstall SAS EG 4.1 from this torrent onto Win7. Didn't work. Fully installed this time, but kept giving me an error on startup ("unable to connect to repository"). I downloaded EG 4.2 from SloveniaX's link (http://bayfiles.com/file/2W8F/elApNf/SAS_Enterprise_Guide_4.2.rar) and tried that. No luck. No error initally. But whenever I tried to load a dataset (or connect to local) it gave the error "connection could not be made to the requested source" or something similar.
Undeterred, I attempted to repeat the process on the XP VM (with SAS 9.2 already installed). Started by trying EG 4.2 from the bayfiles link. No luck. Then I tried it using EG 4.1 from this torrent. It worked. Hallelujah! Praise to SloveniaX!
tl;dr If you're having problems, try installing EG 4.1 from this torrent after installing SAS 9.2 from Doubzstep's torrent on a WinXP 32 bit installation.

hey, that's really cool, thanks for your feedback, we all value it! :)) (as for Doubzstep's SAS torrent, it's just an old SAS 9.2 torrent that's been floating around for some time with a new license that apparently expires in Sept 2012) - see here my (identical!) instructions I've written more than a year ago: http://thepiratebay.ee/torrent/6276181/SAS_9.2_original_release_(latest_SID_-_Sept_2011)_-_reupload
Comon you pirates, give us SAS 9.3. and EG 5.1! :)
Miner would be a blessing too!

@Cdragan, As far as SAS 9.3, I'm stuck at 71% waiting for a seeder :/
Okay TPB users, I have SAS 9.3, but cannot install because x64 bit needs a new SID file that I am pretty sure does not exist or is fairly rare. Should I still upload it here for everyone or should I hang tight until a x64bit SID emerges? Thoughts?
@Cdragan
hehe... yes, that would be sweet.
Where are all those pirates out there?

By the way, before you attempt to run SAS EG 4.1, don't forget to apply
expiration hotfix as specified by SloveniaX.
